What will we discuss in therapy?

We’ll dive into whatever's messing with your head. Nothing’s off-limits—from your darkest fears to your wildest dreams. I’m here to guide, not dictate, the convo.

Will you give me advice?

I’ll provide insights and strategies, not commands. Think of me as your co-pilot on this bumpy ride, helping you navigate, not taking over the controls.

Do you prescribe medication?

I don’t prescribe medication, but if we decide together that medication could be beneficial, I can refer you to a psychiatrist or a medical doctor.

What is therapy like with you?

Imagine a no-bullshit zone where you can spill your guts, laugh, cry, or even sit in silence. It’s real, raw, and all about you. Everything I do in session is geared toward getting to root and reprocessing what has been holding you back, while I do my best to make sure you get the fierce compassionate support you absolutely deserve throughout your healing journey.

How long does therapy take?

There’s not a set duration for therapy, what I can say is that I have seen EMDR move moutains of trauma more effectively and swiftly then other treatments BUT it varies widely depending on your goals, the issues you’re dealing with, and how deeply you want to delve into them. Some people see improvements quickly, while others need more time.  We go at your pace.

I feel like I don't have a major problem. Can I still benefit from therapy?

Hell yes! I get this question often. You don’t need to be at rock bottom to get something out of therapy. And just because someone may have had it rougher than you or they are struggling with a "major" problem, doesn't minimize yours and what you are experience. Both can co-exisist, both can benefit from therapy and both deserve to have commpassionate AF support through it. PERIOD! Therapy is a powerful tool for personal development, managing stress, and improving relationships. It can help you gain greater self-awareness and pursue personal growth so you can kick life in the effin' face!

Will I feel results?

Many do, but it’s not instant magic. It’s a process so the results can be subtle. Many times it is about noticing the small changes. It is always about progress over perfection, every time!

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

If you’re questioning, you’re probably ready to try. Come in, test the waters. It’s the only way to really know.  It’s worth exploring. Therapy is for anyone who wants to better understand themselves and tackle everyday issues more effectively.

How quickly can I expect to feel better?

It varies. Some feel a shift right away; for others, it’s gradual. Give it time, and let’s see how it unfolds. Some clients feel better almost immediately, while others need more time to work through their issues. It’s a personal journey that unfolds at its own pace.

How will I know if therapy is working?

It’s personal, but you’ll feel " the shift." You might feel lighter, see things differently, or handle shit you couldn't before. Might find yourself engaging more positively with others. It’s often the small victories that signal progress.

Does what we talk about in therapy remain confidential?

Absolutely! Everything we discuss is confidential, with few legal exceptions related to safety which we will go over in your intake session.  Your privacy is a top priority!

What if I don’t want to talk about something?

Then we don’t go there. PERIOD! You’re in control of your sessions and what you share. We’ll explore what you’re ready to, when you’re ready, no pressure.

Can I decide to see a different therapist?

Of course.! If we’re not vibing, I’ll help you find someone who's a better fit for you.  No hard feelings at all!

Will you think I’m “crazy”?

F*ck no! You’re human, and all your feelings are valid. It’s completely normal to have challenges and emotions—that’s part of being human. I’m here to support you, not judge.

What is EMDR?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a unique badass form of psychotherapy designed to diminish negative feelings associated with traumatic memories. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR focuses directly on the memory, body sensations and negative core beliefs to reprocess them promperly and change the way that memory is stored in the brain, thus reducing and eliminating the problematic symptoms and getting you back to living life on your own damn terms!
